Documents & Verification
We take the security of your money seriously — that's why we ask you for more information from time to time.
We’re a financial institution, so we need to know who's using our service. It helps us combat money laundering, and keep everyone's money safe.
Sometimes, we need to ask for additional documents once a transfer has started. Rest assured our team will work tirelessly to verify these documents as soon as possible to get your money moving again.
Protecting your information is very important to us. All data, financial details, or documents you provide us are stored securely, encrypted, and kept private as per our privacy policy.
Identity Verification
Everything on the document you share should match the information on your account with us. Make sure the photo isn’t blurry or covered, so we can see all the info. If there's information on the back of your document, we'll need to see that, too.
- We need to see the full document photo page. Please make sure no information is covered.
- Please make sure that your document is still valid before you upload it.
- Please check that you have entered your name and date of birth correctly on the website.
- We may also need the back of the document. If there is information on both sides, please make sure you upload both for us.
Address Verification
We might ask to verify your address when you use our website. We're a financial institution, so we need to know who's using our service and where they live. It helps us combat money laundering, and keep everyone's money safe.
When we verify your address, we ask you to share a document that has the same address as you list on your account with us.
The address proof must be issued to your personal address. We cannot accept address proofs that have been issued to a business.
We'll ask you to provide a high quality photo or scan of a document with your valid address document. It should show:
- Your name: must match the name on your account with us.
- Your full personal address: must match the address on your account with us.
- Date of issue
- A logo, or clear name of the sender: like your bank, your local authority, your utilities provider, etc.
Sending large amount
When you send a large amount using our service, we need to verify your account as usual. But, depending on how much you send, we may also need to check how you got the money you're sending. This is called your source of wealth.
Sometimes, we’ll just ask you to tell us how you got the money. But we might also need to see documents that prove your source of wealth. You can send us your documents in original language, we don't need official translations.
Here are some examples of documents that we might ask for, depending on where your money comes from. These are just examples, and it’s possible we could ask for documents that aren’t on this list.
How does verification work?
Once you've opened your account with us, we'll need to verify your identity, usually with some photo ID, proof or address, and/or a picture of you holding that ID. It usually takes about 2 working days.
The way we verify you depends on a few things:
- The amount you send
- When you send larger amounts, we might need to see additional documents that show how you got the money.
- When you send smaller amounts, we'll usually verify your identity.
- The currency you send
- Some countries require some proof of identities to send any amount.
- Some currencies require further identification.
- How many transfers you've made
- While we might only verify your identity at first, we might need to verify your address later on.
Troubleshooting verification
We hope you don't have any issues with verification. But here are a few tips in case you do.
- It may have some of the information covered. We need to see the full document photo page.
- It may be expired. Please check that your document is still valid before you upload it.
- Your details may not match. Please check that you have entered your name and date of birth correctly on the website.
- We may also need the back of the document. If there is information on both sides, please make sure you upload both for us.
- It may be a document type that we can not accept.
- It may be in a format we can not accept, for example ID documents are not accepted in .DOC format. However, if this is the case, you can make a screenshot of the document, and upload that screenshot, as this will be in .jpg format, which we can accept.
